Hello Affiliates,
We’re continuing our “Back to Basics” series this week, and it’s all about one critical thing: making sure your business is seen!
You can have the most amazing translation service to offer, but if no one knows you exist, it’s all for nothing.
We’ve covered some essential steps in recent weeks:
- The Easiest Translation Service to Sell: Focusing on high-demand, straightforward services like Spanish to English birth certificate translations.
- How the Notarized Translation Process Works: Demystifying the steps involved in getting translations officially recognized.
- How to Access Your Affiliate Link: Ensuring you know where to find your key to earning commissions.
Now, let’s put the spotlight on visibility – how to actually tell people you’re in the translation business.
Actionable Steps to Get Seen:
Think of your translation services as an entirely new business venture.
How would you make it grow as quickly as possible?
The answer: by making it as visible as possible.
Here are some easily actionable steps to make yourself seen:
- Update Your Website: Make sure your website is current with your new translation services section or a dedicated landing page. This is your 24/7/365 storefront where clients can learn about what you do and purchase your services.
- Leverage LinkedIn: Add “Translation Services” to your LinkedIn profile. More importantly, feature it in your regular rotation of posts (you are posting frequently on LinkedIn, right?).
- Harness Online Directories: List your business on popular directories like Yellow Pages, Yelp, and others. If these reputable sites link to your website, you’re also gaining valuable backlinks, which are excellent for your website’s search engine optimization.
- Optimize Google My Business (and Bing, etc.): Most people perform local searches when looking for a service. If your business isn’t optimized on Google My Business, you’re leaving money on the table. Make sure your translation services are clearly listed here so you appear in local results.
Set Yourself a Goal: Aim to become the top local translation company in your area.
Is it going to be easy?
No.
Is it unreasonable?
Absolutely not.
Focus on growing your local presence, making your services known, and providing top-notch client service.
Sooner rather than later, you’ll find yourself swamped with translation requests.
